The Samlen hike in Herand offers one of the most stunning views in Hardanger. From the summit at 686 meters above sea level, you have a panoramic view both inwards and outwards over the Hardangerfjord, including Granvinfjord, Norheimsund, \u00d8ystese, and Samladalen<\/p>\n

The rock carvings in Herand are a unique cultural heritage site, with around 150 figures from the Bronze Age. The carvings depict boats, people, footprints, and other rare motifs. Originally discovered in 1903, the petroglyphs have been studied and conserved to preserve them.<\/p>\n
